In 2023, we can finally resume travel that has been suspended for three years. Because we have to deal with some things, we did not start traveling immediately after the release of epidemic control in mainland China, but we have already started preparing for this trip.

This time we will visit most of the scenic spots in northern Xinjiang. Depart from Urumqi, the provincial capital, to the scenic Keketuohai. Go deep into the dense forest of Kanas, and get close to Hemu Village. Visit the filming location of the movie “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” in Urho Ghost Town. Feel the vastness of water and sky in Sailimu Lake, chase cattle and sheep in Nalati and Bayinbulak grasslands, and experience the hottest place in China in Turpan Huoyanshan (flame mountain). Finally, learn about Kazakh culture in Tianshan Tianchi. In addition to being quite different from the Central Plains in terms of culture, Xinjiang also has many unique cuisines, which are relatively similar to the Middle East.
