We came to the Mausoleum Museum of Nader Shah in the holy city of Mashhad in northeastern Iran.
Nader Shah’s full name is Nader Shah Afshar, 1698~1747. He was once the Khan of the Safavid Dynasty and belonged to the Turkoman Afshar tribe. After helping Tahmasp, the last monarch of the Safavid Dynasty, drive away the Ottoman and Russian invaders, he deposed Tahmasp and made himself king. But because he was not good at dealing with the relationship between the nobles and years of war, he was eventually assassinated by the nobles in the 11th year of his reign.
Afterwards, we ate Persian grilled lamb chops in a restaurant in Mashhad, and finally ate a whole piece of meat.
