In Isfahan, we visited the very historic Jameh Mosque (Friday Mosque), which is a public place that is still in use today.
The mosque was originally built in the 8th century AD, and has been continuously expanded and maintained during various historical periods such as the Seljuk and Mongolian invasions. You can see the architecture of various periods in Persia. It can be said that it condenses the architectural history of the Persian region.
The Jameh Mosque became a World Cultural Heritage in 2012.
