We came to the Imam Reza Shrine in Mashhad, the holy city of Shia Islam in Iran. This complex, centered on the tomb of Ali ibn Musa al-Rida, the eighth Imam of the Twelver Shia sect, has been continuously expanded and renovated for 800 years and is already one of the largest religious sites in the world.

There are two mosques in Shiraz, a city in southern Iran, centered around mausoleums. One is the Tomb of the King of Light (Shah Cheragh) that we went to last night, and the other is this Holy Shrine Mosque commonly known as the “Green Mirror Mosque”. Temple Mosque.

We headed south from central Iran to Shiraz, the city of poets, literature, gardens, wine, nightingales and flowers.

We visited the Judah Mosque in the old town of Yazd, Iran, then had lunch at the nearby Internet celebrity cave restaurant, and visited a local scone shop and fruit and vegetable shop.

In Isfahan, we visited the very historic Jameh Mosque (Friday Mosque), which is a public place that is still in use today.

There are two famous royal buildings in Isfahan’s Naqsh-e Jahan Square, the Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque on the east side and the Ali Qapu Palace on the west side.

We visited Shah Mosque on the south side of Naqsh-e Jahan Square in Isfahan.

There are many centuries-old buildings in Kashan, a city in central Iran, and many of them have become popular tourist destinations.
